Research Interests

My main interests are in the seismic detailing of reservoirs, in 3-D seismic interpretation and seismic stratigraphy. I believe that seismic methods are grossly underused in reservoir engineering and that they can contribute much to oil- and gas-field development and production. I am interested in practical applications of geophysical (especially seismic) methods, having 30 years of seismic exploration experience with Chevron Oil Company and Seiscom-Delta, a contracting company since taken over by Grant Geophysical. My students mainly interpret seismic data to solve structural and stratigraphic problems.
